It is under this premise that Taylor Made established our internship program, Taylor Made’s Unbridled Opportunity. Taylor Made Sales Agency, which itself was founded by the Taylor brothers while each was still a teenager, believes in aiding and developing individuals who are interested in the horse profession into well-rounded horsemen and women with a full understanding of the profession and industry.

Established over twenty years ago, Taylor Made’s Unbridled Opportunity is set up to provide those interested individuals with an entry point into the industry. They begin to learn the day-to-day basics of farm management and thoroughbred care, as well as many other aspects of the thoroughbred industry. The intern will be taught skills ranging from basic animal husbandry and herd health to sales preparation and the development of young horses. Each intern will be able to develop and hone his or her horsemanship skills during their tenure at Taylor Made. That will prove to be invaluable in their future endeavors in the horse trade. Taylor Made is one of the world’s largest and most recognized thoroughbred consignors and this gives interns exposure to everything from the $5,000 horse to the $9,000,000 horse.

Taylor Made Sales Agency is located in Nicholasville, Kentucky; situated in the heart of thoroughbred country. Since Central Kentucky is the “Thoroughbred Capital of the World”, being located here allows Taylor Made to provide each intern opportunities to experience different facets of the thoroughbred business they wouldn’t get anywhere else!

Taylor Made’s Unbridled Opportunity is open to both residents and non-residents of the United States and has attracted people from around the world. Not only do our interns get the opportunity to learn about the thoroughbred industry, they also get the opportunity to network with up and coming as well as established professionals. Since its inception, graduates have gone on to become champion trainers, farm or sales agency owners, farm managers, veterinarians, bloodstock agents and sales company representatives. Wherever in the world you find thoroughbred horses and a successful farm or a breeding or training operation, you will probably find a Taylor Made graduate.
